Farah Ahmed Ward 5 campaign poster

I am proud to call Ward 5 home.

My name is Farah Ahmed, and I have lived in Ward 5 for the past 15 years, at the same address, building strong roots in this community. I attended J.L. Forster Secondary School in Windsor and graduated from St. Clair College as a Welding Technician. I am a welder by trade, and I have spent many years working hard, building things, solving problems, and contributing to our community.

My work and life experience have taught me the importance of hard work, responsibility, teamwork, and getting the job done right. I also believe that good leadership starts with listening: hearing directly from the people of Ward 5 about their concerns, their ideas, and their priorities.

I am running to make Ward 5 safer, cleaner, and stronger. I will work for better roads and infrastructure, reliable city services, responsible spending and accountability, stronger support for local families, and a healthy environment for local businesses. Most importantly, I am running to serve the people of Ward 5: to listen to your voices, represent you with respect, and be a councillor you can trust.

"Together, we can build a safer, cleaner, stronger Ward 5."

My priorities for Ward 5.

These are the priorities I'm running on — shaped by what I've heard from residents and will keep evolving through direct conversations across Ward 5.

01

Support local businesses

Help create the conditions for local businesses to grow, serve residents, and strengthen Ward 5's economy.

02

Improve housing and infrastructure

Bring practical attention to the housing and infrastructure concerns that shape everyday life across Ward 5.

03

Strengthen our neighbourhoods

Support connected, welcoming neighbourhoods where residents can take pride in the places they call home.
